SEGUE WAY

On Saturday April 29th, I read from my manuscript from the CONSUME(S) ME project at the Segue Way series at the Zinc Bar in Manhattan with Oakland based poet Brandon Brown. Artist KB Jones sketched this image of me while I was on stage. The recording of the event is here.

NOW//NOW//NOW

On Saturday, March 25th I moderated this panel at SOHO20 as part of their ongoing series Rethinking Feminism. This event was centered to instigate conversation around the question of ‘What do we do now?’ in regards to the issues that the Women’s March has brought to the foreground of consciousness in regards to race, sexuality, gender binary identification, and class. We ended up spending most of the evening talking about the Dana Shutz Whitney Biennial debacle.

Fellow participants included Stephanie Acosta, Ruby Brunton, Christen Clifford, Marianna Ellenberg, Jasmine Gibson, Victoria Keddie, Jodie Lyn-Kee-Chow, Sheetal Prajapati, Buzz Slutzky, Bishakh Som, Stephanie Strickland,  Wendy Vogel

On March 18th, I read another section from the Animal series called A HEAVY DAY AT THE BEACH in celebration of the release of Perfect Wave magazine.
